Running it as a quad but wouldn't be opposed to going finless. Getting a set of the Lovelace Piggyback quads.

Have a board in the works being shaped by Tony Caramagna of TC Surfboards. Tony grew up in the Point Loma and Sunset Cliffs area here in San Diego and has made kneeboards before. He is very easy to work with and I feel I was able to tell him what I have trying to do in my shaping. He was very open t...

Re: Paipo Gathering - Oct 8-10, 2017
Had a good time up North at this years gathering. The catered meals each night was top notch thanks Rod! Now if you could only start work on removing the Channel Islands that would be great. Waves didn't cooperate with us as much as we wanted but what can you do. I think Kage had the wave of the gat...

Re: Can't help myself
Here's what I came up with today, I shaped the board in my head for two weeks while waiting for the blank and this isn't what was in my mind. Dims are 4'6" 22.75 1.75" belly in the nose to flat to single through the fins. Slight concave deck with fins set at 4" and 1/8" toe twin ...

Re: Thought experiment
If you getting the insulation sheets and glassing yourself I assume you can get away with that. The blank I'm getting is a mould but also not a close tolarance blank like you would see from US blanks. I'll admit here that I'll be cheating with the next board by not doing a outline just cutting 6&quo...

Re: Thought experiment
Thank you for the inspiration Chrispi. I was going to go with a flat bottom with maybe a little vee in my next board, but you have changed my mind. I need to just go for it on this next board with what I'm going to do. Plan on doing the bottom I did on the finless board I did early this year and rea...

Re: Can't help myself
Ordering a blank tomorrow. Instead of shaping in one day, I'm going to take two weekends to shape the board. Take my time doing it rough out the blank first weekend and finish it up the following weekend.

I like that feature, now you could actually "see" the blank.

I'm looking for something in the 4-5ft range. I think I need a break from shaping for a bit. Let me know what you have.

Re: Can't help myself
Nomas here is their email back to me. On their Instagram there are a couple of posts with the blanks Hi Paul, It is a sled cut style blank with a flat deck and square rails but it is still a form molded blank. We have both a thick and regular version of the blank so if you wanted a closer tolerance ...

I think I need to do this again. http://mypaipoboards.org/forum3/download/file.php?id=2076&mode=view Having trouble uploading at the "office" Looks like going a bit wider will help get my rail profile a bit better because I tend to do too much in a short amount of space. Looking using ...

It's the new stuff maybe because the grooves aren't colored it looks like the old pads.
