Re: paipo fest
Sounds like the two ends of a spectrum.
The PS was briefly discussed here: http://mypaipoboards.org/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=186 No doubt Rod will be waiting a long time for the babes.
I'll be interested to hear what both days are like, especilaly what the surf is like.

Re: Old Hayden paipo
Cuttlefish, Thanks. I just copied the images from those you posted. I've contacted 2 people about the board and heard back from 1 of them & another person contacted me - so have passed on the owner's mobile number. Guess it will depend on what the owner wants for the board whether they are inter...

Re: Dug out this old relic from my past
Unless you know exactly what the foam is I wouldn't try to glass it - you could end up with a pile of chemical squish. Resin/epoxy eating up the foam.

Uncle G, Thanks. Which web-site did you find it on? I found some mention here - http://insectsurf.blogspot.com.au/2012_06_01_archive.html Hip guys with small beards and psychodelia. I gather there was a similar exhibiiton at Noosa, in March. I've reently been in contact with your neighbour, John. Bob

which she rode on Sundays. I imagine it wasn't a relatives or she may have added who it belonged to. Another angle, I don't know what town it came form but you could try a long time resident or surf-shop in such a thing exists in the area. There may also be local collectors, but you might have asked...

Could the previous owner tell you how long they had it or where they got it?
Joe Tabler might post it on surfblurb and Swaylocks might be worth a bet.

Re: Board ID request
I've never heard of them but it looks like a copy of a Newport style board. Is it possible to find out who owned it?

Re: New Paipo Website
Looks like it is associated with: http://www.liquidsaltmag.com/ I cringed a bit, I could be completely wrong but it did look like someone usurping the term paipo. Somewhat like the site that claimed to have rediscovered the bellyboard. Next thing someone will try to copyright the word, paipo. Obscur...

Here is the board showing the tubes. Also visible is the 2 male parts. The board is a slightly thicker version of a John Galera Nofin, thicker to hold the tubes.

Re: Travel Beater Bi-Sect (photo 1)
Visible in the photo is one of two carbon fibre tubes - about 19 3/4" long, one set is about 1mm thick, the set I use is about 3mm thick. Each rod has a small hole in it, to reduce suction when removing. Ends are slightly rounded. The black is a thin strip of rubber, cushioning the join and for...

Re: Travel Beater Tri-Sect
Rod,
I can send better photos. The board has been surfed in very solid sized reef breaks (SW France, Ireland) including some quite choppy as well as windy offshore days. No problems at all.
