Hi Keith, I went down to the slider cup last year and it was a great event.https://flic.kr/p/o5Q9gY Unfortunately this weekend just gone did not happen but they are rescheduling the comp for Autumn some time. Did you go? Would you be up for a Cornwall trip when it is called? I have been thinking about organising something similar in Wales and will get round to it one day.
In the mean time am producing and riding wooden paipo of distinction. Check out http://www.sawboards.co.uk where there are links to my Facebook Youtube, Flickr, Tumblr etc. At present I am trying to combine more vertical stances i.e. like that on a kneeboard or drop knee whilst riding a wooden finless paipo. Seems possible just need a few more waves!!

Hi Patrick,

Yes I saw your website a good while back, my friend who rides a paipoglide sent me the link. Good stuff. :D

I only found out about the slyder cup about a week before the june meet, and will be trying to go down in the autumn, yes maybe we can carpool.

I did go to the world bellyboard champions a few years ago which was fun, but the slyder cup sound better. 8-)

I dont think there enough prone riding in wales to have much of a turn out for such a think here, I have been doing stuff with the welsh bodyboard club and we struggle to get 10 people to one of the surf jams.

DK woud be one avenue I though could benefit from a fin, but it depends how you like riding, and yes we need some waves for wales!!! :(

Do you also have access to a wood CNC machine? https://www.flickr.com/photos/28692230@N06/14141617810/

Start some threads on our boards in design section of the forums people would love to see them.

Well the slyder cup 2.0 was a great event, about 18 guys entered the paipo division which gave 4 first round heats, with only the 1st lace position advancing to the final.

Apart from myself an my friend malcom on our SDF/endeavour foam and fiberglass everybody else was riding more traditional boards. With help from the extra float of my boards I managed to take first place in the paipo division, and them on to the grand final between the paio winner, matt winner , handplane winner and alaia winner. (got 4th in that)

was a great day out of like minded people with challenging almost closing out 3/4ft waves

He was listed as having won the Expression Session. I was curious if he rode a tray. Did anybody bodysurf with Reef sandals on their hands?
