The Ventura Pier sits at the bottom of the little cove just southeast of Ventura Pt. The bottom of the pier is about 20ft above the waterline. Larger waves were breaking 100-150yds off the end of the pier. Typically, the smallest waves on any given swell are here, but not today...

No, actually I was out riding my new LB semi-gun at the peak in front of the "Free Lot" that day. I saw you from a distance, riding across "Middles" on a really nice wave. I was going to paddle over but I couldn't find you after that. Figured you must have gotten out. I rode my TBG4 last Tue, but I'm holding out for the TBX for my next prone-board go out. Glasser tells me it will ready tomorrow afternoon, but I've been disappointed before...
