Anyone know about this ProLine board

#1

Unread post by bgreen »

I'm working on an interview and one of the boards the guy has is a ProLine, picked up second-hand. There is a US company on the east coast called Proline who I've e-mailed..

Anyone seen a board like this or known anything about them, when they were made, who made etc?

That looks a lot like a board I sold to Poobah several years ago.
I forget the name on it........
Paipo surfer in repose,
Nose on the nose,
No grunting he-man pose.
See how fast he goes!
What is it he knows?

Ya, it looks like it could be a Macski fiberlass bodyboard from South Africa. Other hallmarks would be a web strap handle on the nose, and metal alloy fin boxes (not kidding.)

Also google Macski bodyboard images.

Very durbale boards. After the big apocalypse, cockroaches will travel between the continents on Macski bodyboards.

Thanks Poobah

I've sent off a few e-mails to enquire further.

Here is a paipo forum thread on them: http://www.rodndtube.com/paipo/forum/vi ... dd7529b719

The South African link is no longer working. There is still a ski company though.

The photo was forwarded on to John MacLeod "the father of macski". It's apparently not a MacSki.

It is a mystery. ProLine are East Coast US but the owner didn't think it was one of his boards if it wasn't signed.

Better photos and the deck.
