Anyone else find predawn a spiritual time to surf just before the sun rises , on weekends my local is off the charts crowded so I was first out this morning and had it to myself for 3/4 of hour offshore 2m cruising along a easy wall I had time to look around and realised how a beautiful sunrise gives a different perspective to surfing.

Definitely. That and sunset, though sunset is generally MUCH more crowded. But first and last light are the best!
