Kudos to Robert Moynier who took the lead on the interview and to the interviewee, Jeff Quam. Art Brewer and others also made significant contributions. We hope to learn more about the Laguna connection in the coming year.

Interesting article :D

It was very interesting to see for the first time in the video the use of the handle. Seems to give a more "steering ride" that the hand on the rail way I'm used too. I guess once you get over 4ft it to far to reach the nose, and keep your body weight in the a tail/over the fins.

I hope paipos don't become "mainstream". I'm sick of people invading things(for all the wrong reasons) i have enjoyed doing and taken years to slowly find/understand .

Jeff doesn't describe a steering effect so much as applying pressure. It may be the case the movements are subtle, but a bit of force must be applied as Robert M reported shoulder problems at some stage.

When I get my board with a handle I may be able to give a more direct report.
