New foam for a Bunch of Boards
I just picked some new 2 lb EPS from White Cap. Unfortunately they only had 4 inch. I was going to get 1 three inch for three paipos and I four inch for my son who is going to make a standup fish or two. So now I will really have to plane mine down, since my boards will about I2 inches thick. Anyway now I have enough foam for 4 paipos. Luckily I got a new cheapo planer and a Rasputin Foiling Rasp from Greenlight Surf Supply.

You need to research using a hot-wire to cut rocker. There are lots of DIY hot-wire cutter builds on the internet. Biggest expense is a variable resistor to control wire temp, but a lot of guys use an old electric train transformer. Think of it as slicing cheese. -tp

I was thinking about that. It seems like kind of a hassle to build a hotwire cutter. But now that I am stuck with 4 inch foam I might do it. It certainly would be a lot faster once you got a cutter and rocker templates. I've seen some on Swaylocks. Also I don't why but overcharging a wire with electricity makes me nervous. But I'll look into it some more.

the 3 inch 4'x8' is $58 and the 4 inch is $75. You can make four 48" boards or two boards longer boards and one 48" board out of one sheet. Pretty good for $58.
