new mahogany board

my wife said I need to stay out of the lumber department at the home depot (ha ha ha ) THE board is a tall thin one just how I like them it is 4' x 12" x 5/8 thick 6" at the tail, 1/2" lift on the nose.

Mike,

This board doesn't look like it had a nose block added to get lift. If this is right, it must be only be an 1/8" at the nose. A profile photo wold be interesting.

no block on nose. nose is 1/16" thick just sanded in the 1/2" lift the rest is flat flat flat.

EPIC Wood @ 1/2" nose~lift dah` rest flat~bottom. I like that style as well, pretty useful in surf from 1' to 12'ft., best at surf in 2'-4'ft. fun waves. Nice piece of art......

cool board. I got some old mahogany I am making a paipo out of; thinking;

42" x 19 1/2" x 1 1/2" thickness, my first one since the 60's so I am not sure if it will be to thick. back them we used 5/8" plywood.

with mahogany 5/8 is thick much more and it will be a log
