viper yellow dots free to a good home Venura area
Hi I live in Ventura County and have a pair of yellow dot Viper fins that are too small for me. They have a lot of miles left on them. They are a size large and I will happily give them to someone that can use them. If you live in the area, get ahold of me and we can figure out a eay to get them to ...

Re: Paepo’o - my boards
Really cool shapes-I particularly like the one on the right in the group picture. How long/wide is it?

Re: Calf cramping
Looks like the booties were a major contributor to the calf cramping….went out today With thinner booties and fins with a wider pocket and had no discomfort. Thanks for the input.

Re: Calf cramping
Thanks Rod-I was thinking about my booties too-they are really thick and the front of my feet feel compressed when I put fins on them. I received some new, thinner booties yesterday and am going to try them out tomorrow.
I will let you know how it goes-thanks again

Hi Rod, not sure how to measure the viper fin blade, but it looks like it’s the 5 inch model.

Calf cramping
Lately, I have been annoyed by my left calf cramping up really badly, sometimes only 25-30 minutes into a surf session. I started stretching my calves before going out, take magnesium supplements, drink lots of water and the cramping continues. It’s a real pain in the calf. Been using stiff bladed v...

Re: 3 Paipos at once?!!
No, have never met in person, but thru this forum, you told me about the ocean beach group. I went up there one weekend but the surf was pretty bad so I opted out.
Saw some Paipos in the distance, but that as close as I got.

Re: 3 Paipos at once?!!
OG, you are right-I knew there was a group there but just never got around to it. I kinda regret that.
I am curious, do you still ride the cork paipo Dave was making, or are you back on plywood?

3 Paipos at once?!!
Last September, I relocated from the chilly waters of Pacifica, Ca to the much more comfortable waters of Ventura County. This summer, I have taken to prowling the beach breaks along the Rincon Parkway with my Paipo. Today, I paipo’d (is that a verb?), one of those beach breaks and lo and behold, tw...

Re: Basics.
Hey Aly-I like the lampshade for your nose template…I used a garbage can lid for the nose template on this board. I think I should wear a lampshade while paipo’riding. Fins on your feet make a big difference-not just for catching waves but for controlling the paipo once you are up on a plane. Ps:the...

fin placement on bodyboard?!
ok-I know this will rile up the purists here, but as an experiment, I put a couple of soft top fins on an old bodyboard-It is a too big, too wide bodyboard that I could not keep from sliding out whenever the wave got steep. the fins made the board a lot more fun to ride but I think I could improve t...
