I was camping at Hobson's which is just south of rincon. I woke up around 2-3am, went to the bathroom and as I was walking towards the bathroom I thought I saw a glow up in the hills. I was half asleep and it was cold so I didn't pay much attention. Woke up to the news that everything was shut down...

If you're in ventura, the no-brainer spot is C-Street. Plenty of waves and always breaking.

The new duck feet are amazing. Very soft/comfortable rubber compared to the old formula. I've used mine in 2 foot slop to 12 foot nuking reef breaks on Oahu. After watching Wiamea break this past winter, with all the lifeguards running around with duck feet, I stopped looking for a better fin.

What is the purpose of the stepped tail bottom concave, as opposed to a more traditional smooth concave transition?

...yes, and rail thickness, crown vs flat deck, so many variables, and so many variables we can't even measure. Trying to make "good" better is often not as easy as it sounds.... BTW, I spend much more time talking design when there's no waves to ride. Time to start a Generation 3 build t...
