paipo single fin fcs 3d, choppy dais

I had this half-finished paipo and today I was able to finish it. It is a thought in the Fins of sup fcs 3d largue, it is a fins that I had for a long time and I wanted to try it, I do not know how it works in the water, but if it is not tested it is not known. The paipo is a 43.5 x 18.5 es tenía es...

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

I have already started with the prototype, good impression, good flex, but when rolling through the tension of the fiberglass the rocker of the rib has been reduced. for the next prototype I will have to paste 2 stringers. the table has a very good flex the design is an exaggerated copy of the nomas...

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

It is an idea that I thought about a while ago. I do not opt for this for 2 reasons: strength of the board: when doing with the rib the wood will have much more force since I do not have to divide into pieces the blank I'm not looking for a nice job in sight, I think of efficiency. but the one that ...

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

I have got a piece. It is compatible with polyester. I have sanded half of the cork to remove the plastic that covers it. I have laminated a piece with 6 and another with 6 more 6 Results: the part that has not been sanded is delaminated as nothing is clear that it does not grip. the part that I hav...

Re: T-Belly G6

The width of the board, in my opinion, depends a lot on the shape of the wave, vertical waves, narrow board, flabby waves, wide board. the boards that I made are for winter waves with hard waves or days of wind with choppy waves, for these my humble experience 18.5 is a good size, facing the summer ...

Re: T-Belly G6

I know that the paipos get longer to avoid the less leg drag. but on the other hand, this is a fight with the turns that you have a hard time doing, I understand that it is com to want to make a bottom on a 9.4 longboard in the same radius as a 5.8 surfboard. so why not stay at 45 or 46 as much? tho...

Re: T-Belly G6

according to those bodyboard measurements, I do not understand why the paipos are made as big, 49 and 52 as you comment in the first post?
What is the overdose that is compared to 42 of the bodyboard?
my paipos are 43/44 x 18.5... 20 max inch and I measure 1.75cm weight 75kg

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

The thinnest paulownia I can buy is 15mm, in a warehouse near home. with that thickness I can not make the paulownia eps paulownia sandwich system, the weight shoots up, I have to brush the wood until I get 6mm thick and that would be throwing more than half of the wood in the garbage, a pity and sp...

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

There are ideas that need a rest to mature and rethink. Now I think it's time to mix many things that I've done so far Paulownia runs across the width of the board, so I can easily book it. fiberglass down so it does not crack and stringer up to give the rocker to give more floating plates that are ...

Re: paipo paulownia with rib?

A friend has given me an article about a surfboard that he made a long time ago. He reminded me of this idea adding eva rubber. Like the ideas of the Frankenboogie model, there is no need to laminate with epoxy http://www.valenciaplato.com/2015/09/alandrina.html?fbclid=IwAR0Y2GndnmpZu9XCCwL1SbV5tb-n...

Re: T-Belly G6

If I have read it and the reason for the question, the design of nomastomas is very far below the measures recommended by Larry and this is precisely my curiosity I see in the designs very much like board rails contact with the water due to the narrowing of the nose http://mypaipoboards.org/intervie...

Re: T-Belly G6

I'm very curious about the narrowness of your boards, in what improvement compared to a more oval design? with nose wider? thank you very much, you are an inspiration for me

Re: 45 biaxial degree fiberglass?

To test the influence of fiberglass on the rails, I saw a paipo that was badly made lengthwise. I left the square edges with the foam in the air and compared the flex, before cutting and then putting 2 bags of sand of 25kg each with the paipo resting on the tail and nose, the rest in the air. I'm so...

Re: 45 biaxial degree fiberglass?

I have spoken with a friend about the alignment of fibers 45 degrees vs 90/0. I answered that the paipos to be so small, compared to a surfboard, there is almost no difference but if it has corroborated me what it supposed, the amount of fabric and resin that is put on the rails, with that you can m...

Re: 45 biaxial degree fiberglass?

I just found the plates of the PET compound, it is a variant of the PU plates but the reference that I put below is much more economical, it is compatible with polyester, it is used to make the wind blades of the windmills, and parts of aircraft, structurally it is much more rigid to compression tha...

Re: 45 biaxial degree fiberglass?

Only issue could be that 2 light layers is stronger than one heavier one.: in this you are right but as I look for fex I do not think it is harmful Oh, and thicker/heavier cloth is more difficult to wrap on thin rails and corners etc. : That is the grace of this idea, there is no fiberglass in these...

45 biaxial degree fiberglass?

These days I have been doing tests with different materials to make the paipos. woods, aluminum, with different thicknesses of core and has been a failure, so I turn the fiberglass and epoxy resin fabrics, but I have seen some fabrics at 45 degrees as shown in the photo. of the paipo. I found these ...
