Had a SheeeeIIIIItttttt day yesterday, was only going for a quick surf and after my 3rd wave stepped on a cobbler 6 hours of pain and soaking in hot water now have a burnt foot , will be looking at these socks or has anyone had good results from some full foot fins.

A mate of mine just got a couple of new knee boards they came with with raised diamond dimples on the pads , he prefers hard dimples so I will score the old ones so maybe contact knee board shapers.

Hi guys thinking of my next project, my current favourite board is a copy of Trevor Yamamotos design in 12mm ply , what timber type and thickness could I make one using glued strips to have enough strength with slight flex not and not to heavy.

Yeah competing with 20 year olds on a ply paipo is difficult.

Hi guys predominately riding a 12mm ply guitar pick shaped paipo at the moment Mr Lui fault , has anyone added cork to the deck did it add much floatation and what were the positive and negative effects.Thanks

In Australia Bunnings sells 12 mm labeled marine but it’s only got 3 layers has anyone used this.

Looking into my next board , I like Trevor Yamamotos shed door design with parabolic rails but a bit longer as I’m tall . Hi Zensuni I put elastic bands around my ankles never seen these before, I looked at some dive suits but arm movements are limited as I use one arm for padding on to waves they won’t work.

What wet suit do you use in cool water 15 - 18 my 4 3 isn’t cutting it after 2 hours paipo surfing I’m shivering has anyone tried diving wet suits as we are submerged unlike being out of the water on a bigger board.

I have been looking at making a 12mm ply board that folds in half so it fits in a suit case , thinking of epoxy glueing hard wood and using hinges two problems I see are pinching skin when flexing and how to lock it open has anyone made anything similar.

I taught myself to glass boards many years ago I have only used epoxy after a couple it’s not too hard just time consuming,I started doing my own so I could triple 6oz top and double 6oz bottom my Mal’s the first one is well over 20 years old and still going strong.

Hi foil been testing the 12” paipo and find it has really high top end speed down the line but I have to bend it to turn , I found this out by watching jack johns video on the original surfboard company site he’s pretty good check it out.
