well I finally got Bobs board sanded and gloss coated this week, I just have to do a fine tune on the edges and it is ready to go.....

HI Bob, It was just like catching a normal wave really, the marshals gave a bit of advice on where to sit in relation to the plunger.

I was fortunate enough to go and try out the surflake facility in Central Queensland recently and rode my original orange mini paipo it was a great experience and really proved the design concept works well

An update: I laminated the bottom inlay with a clear free lapped lamination and then after grinding the laps, filler coated the top and bottom

OK a bit famous in small paipo forum circles

here is the lamination process for an inlay on the bottom, this was done in 6Oz glass and will have a full clear lamination wrapping round the rails

Here are a couple of shots of the finished hull shape for the Velo Flex Spoon Paipo, This is as far as I have got I have wrapped it up in bubble wrap and will have to find some time to commence glassing.

I am thinking of trying unfinned initially and can add fin(s) later, my initila thoughts are for low and long bonzer style runners close to each rail, but I will see how I go. I will post a couple of update shots when i get a chance
