Exactly, balance long distance paddling with take-off force. It would be easy to overshoot and take too much off and end up with too little stiffness for the take off. Ergo, I am looking at 3-4 iterations so I hit it right. 1/8-1/4" per iteration. If takes even more than 4 then so be it.
