Re: T-Belly Gen 4x
I am a fan of cf having owned a few cf boards from DVS and would like to know what dims you'd shape a board in cf with me being 6'1" and 85kgs? I was 92-95kgs but lost weight and also enthusiasm for surfing in general so need a board to explore some less ridden places. I sold my trusty paipo as...

Re: TBG5 Step Up
Can I buy it when you're done with its sea trials? ;) Thought about a longer prone board that doesn't need flippers to paddle into larger waves for ages. Good to see you making one. I'm going to try prone riding a Firewire baked potato that is at the lower limits of my comfortable foam for stand up ...

Hi Tomas,
Still have the file but didn't have a board made from it as I had the modifications done to the current board and left it at that.

Re: T-Belly Generation 2
I was experiencing similar problems with my prone board. Trying to climb back up the face on hollower waves was difficult. Took it to the local ding repair shop and the ding repairer and he's son who builds his own alaias put their heads together and made some changes. They put a hard edge on the bo...

Man,
I know that feeling.
The bottom feeding, opportunist when riding prone.

Re: Finless or Not?
Hi Bob, Pm me your email add please. Had it but can't locate it. Rode the board at "the Bluff" at Alex in a nice new 2-3' swell. Paddled out amongst the usual thick crop of longboarders. Managed to get quite a few waves by being patient and snatching ones where I could out from under their...

Re: Finless or Not?
Btw Bob, The combination of adding the hard edge along the rail and then using the bonzer side runners (larger ones) in the front plugs and then a gtf-1 (carbon twin like a MR tfx) in the rear plugs so the fins are working as a twinzer worked very well. In barreling waves I was able to climb back up...

Re: Finless or Not?
Hey Bob, Just got my More 4'2" back with new plugs added forward of my triple plugs back on the tail. Also a hard resin edge added to the rail most of its length where before it had a chine. Due to the deep double concaves the forward plugs I had added if I put normal fcs fins in them they cant...

Re: Wegener Albacore
I struggle with foreign languages, but looks my grasp of English is also failing. Uncle G responds with a "pau" (the only pau I've heard of is a town in southern France?) and Soulglider is talking about la kukarachas (which google struggled with) to make a point I didn't get. Is this a US...

Re: Wegener Albacore
I have ridden one. Had a great time on it in ankle snappers. Then rode it in 3-4' waves. Got out of the water and noticed it had creased in a few places across the bottom. Took it back. Told Tom about it and he was suprised it had happened as this is the 3rd generation foam albacore. I'm 92 kgs and ...

Re: John Galera nofin on Youtube
OPINION (its free so take it for what you paid): a displacement hull is a lot more complicated than just having a belly in the bottom. belly in the bottom would be slower, maybe. but, as a blanket statement shows a little less knowledge and experience in riding them? a true displacement hull takes ...

Re: Old Hayden paipo
Cuttlefish, you are now the owner of the board? Ah, not I. I'll have to have a look at the guy's business card (in my car) but Gary probably was his name (Bob). Oops further confusion. Huie's creation looks very functional. Keep us posted with a ride report or two. Hopefully you christened it in th...

Re: Old Hayden paipo
Funny thing happened today...dropped into the shop at the local dump today while on the hunt for a cheap garden table. Just about to get into the car and a chap pulls up beside us. He asks me if it's a paipo on the roof racks of my car. "Yes" I answer and he says "here, I've got somet...

Old Hayden paipo
Talking to the staff at the local surf shop and one of the crew they know brings in a board he's just restored. Not sure of the year or who shaped it so far. It's a Hayden and is approximately 4'10". Sorry haven't posted on here for a while and I've completely forgotten how to post images. Anyw...
