Yeah, not going to make it due to Reality issues, but there is definitely swell in the area…Skiff, got some chunky ones today at a spot that sounds like 'erotics".good luck everyone…send some photo's.

Doesn't say much , a bit stoic, kind of a gritty, wooden personality…oh yeah, i remember this guy! His name is Limb Ash-Hauler, originally from Walnut Grove Ca;, spent a lot of time germinating up in the Sequoia area…grew pot for a while up in the redwoods with a guy named Pete Moss, good paipo ride...

Re: Paipo Gathering - Fall 2015?
Ok…just saw the entire thread…extremely familiar with all this area, the El Cap site on the East side is a great place to HQ…numerous spots can handle both large and small swells , south winds, not so good, but but there is enough variety in a fairly localized area to ensure something to ride…plus a...

Re: Paipo Gathering - Fall 2015?
El Cap is good…Refugio a little more low key when things start firing… love em both, regardless, I'm in too. Emma wood is good as well…bit more urbanized, but close to my favorite wave when it's truly on…Pitas.

BG…yes you are curious, and exceptional as well.
Speaking of board weight…I have recently been riding a balsa paipo that comes in at 27…yes…27 lbs!
Old school to be sure, pics to follow soon.

Re: Quad Fins for Summer
Rod-man, just clarifying a bit…I reckon anyone has the right to tinker away as they see fit, but my experience is that the Bonzer system, while essentially simple, doesn't tolerate much modification before it becomes something else entirely, and those results have frequently been not so good… this h...

Re: Quad Fins for Summer
Rod, et all: just to throw in a little clarification about my boards, it's not that I don't like the center fin, as a matter of fact I ALWAYS use the center fin on my 4'6" 3 fin Bonzer…thats' the one with the traditional Bonzer runners. However, I typically ride my 5 fin, 5" boards without...

Re: Wave invader
Whoa, wait a minute, did you say four (4) colors?
Well hell then, this changes everything!
Thanks for pointing that out, I wonder if they could do four(4) colors on the same Wave Invader/Soup Suppressor?
That would be like, so awesome, dude.

Thank you,this was hilarious!
It was supposed to be funny right?
Wow…the Wave Invader, yeah, that's what I want to do.
A new name maybe could be the "Soup Suppressor"...

Re: November welsh waves
yes , that's 4-6 ft "Hawaiian", meaning they measure from the back of the wave.
(why, I don't know…ever ridden the back of a wave?)
solid stuff anyway you measure it…mainly rights or is it going for the shorter wedge left?
great photos'…I can feel it!

Re: Sticks or Lids, Moynier Wants To Know
Bob and Krusher…thanks, I always mind surf any wave I'm looking at and in this case throw a paipo in there to "see' what may happen. I would LOVE to see a paipo in these kind of (Irish) waves…my question has to do with the seeming ability of the body board to flex and adjust to some of these ra...

Re: Dr. Robert's Sefiroth Bonzer Paipo
Mr Levens…probably would work, I think it would need a lot of strength as it would need to be a stationary object on the board to maximize leverage. Do not know where the idea comes from that the handle is a specific hazard to your physical well being as opposed to any other part of your board…it is...

Re: Riding position
Regarding that clip…I think the entire ride was about 20 seconds, very small wave but had some zip and a little wall. If you look real close at the first 2 frames you will see that almost a half of the body is off the board, tail is drifting laterally, but being controlled by the pressure from the ha...

Re: Dr. Robert's Sefiroth Bonzer Paipo
Krusher the ergonomic side may be appropriate… but I personally look at it more so from the place where maximum performance efficiency will occur on the board, regardless of rider size. similar to the "sweet spot' on any given stand up board, I think there is a specific handle placement locatio...

Re: Dr. Robert's Sefiroth Bonzer Paipo
Rod, the Witzig thing is pure insanity. You may remember that I'm Australian born and raised…as such I know from experience that this hugely funny thing is the result of a few tooo many at the pub and an idea that seemed sooo good at the time…yahh, good on ya' mate! On the other hand, the Froiseth ha...
