Re: A couple of waves in Galicia, Spain

I have heard others with the same complaint. Not a problem for me (ride just about nothing but the HPD) but use makes master I suppose. Could it be that the HPD needs to be ridden farther up than most paipo riders are used to?

I'm there if there's still room. Any of the places mentioned are fine, just don't want to camp on the pavement.

they didn't send me a new wetsuit or board. probably a shipping error. if any of you got it by mistake, please forward.
Rod, I see your test. I guess no one has anything to say.

my contemptable greed

I am a greedy bastard, I admit it. I could use a new wetsuit and a free board wouldn't be unwelcome either. If you enter this contest (xterra) click on this -> -> https://wn.nr/yGQRj9 you might win one too. And very slightly increase my chance of winning. If I do win you can borrow the board. But no...

Re: Need feedbacks on the HPD XL

This may be a bit late, hope your board is still available. I ride HPDs about 90% of the time and like them a lot (obvs). I'm 5'6" and rode the XL for about 10 years and then switched to the mini. I like it better but I would recommend the XL too. I use a leash, no need to get into that issue h...

Re: Central Coast trip

Two pretty good days, Paul. It was fun.
From my point of view three is a crowd, two is still pushing it a little bit and if I'm the only one out I'll at least give me some dirty looks.

A belated welcome to the site! You don't seem to be getting much of a response to your request. Where would this paipo boarding be (location wise)?

A. Float IS the enemy.
B. There have been some seriously ugly boards on this site lately, like that mouse (?) board. We should have an ugly bOrd contest.

Re: Which paipo for hollow waves ?

I use the occasional superman arm but I think it is mostly about moving your weight forward. From a steep section where I go from weight shifted back to control speed, to shifted forward -more flat to the wave -the riders in the video don't seem to be putting their forward hands in the water. I do t...

I like a leash and I hold on.
In big surf -- if the ocean wants your board it's going to take it.

Re: Which paipo for hollow waves ?

Zensuni, welcome to the forum. Your English is excellent! Those waves you describe sound pretty tough for anyone, big closeouts aren't fun. On the other hand when you ride in better waves you will have built up some mighty skills. I noticed your comment about arm position; I think what you may be se...

Re: Sayulita next week

Just got back. I'm apparently still dragging a surf trip curse, I was out the first four days with a bad back and the last three days with noro-virus. Nontheless I got out one day, water is very warm (which is nice). The wave at the town beach is probably better for a long board, lonnnnng easy left....
