Re: Fins
I looked at those a while ago and they were a bit tight new but some used ones I found felt good in the same size. I'm going to see if that second hand store in OB has some. They usually have a big selection of fins.

Board bags
Going to get in contact with these guys for a bag. If anyone is looking for one made I'll give some feedback if I decide to go with them.

Re: Can't help myself
Well shaped the board yesterday and didn't come out the way I was planning so had to rethink a couple things. I was trying to get that rounded bottom you see in the greenough flex spoons so I shaped the bottom rail bands first turning them up to 70%. Then doing the top rails at 30% but it didn't wor...

Re: Fins
I have tree trunks for legs and I wear 4e in New Balance. Most of the time I feel like I don't go anywhere if it's consistent paddling out. If the waves are weak I tend to have to take off really late. If there is a strong current I struggle as well. Maybe with a longer board may help but I think I ...

Fins
So I have the cheap set of fins for 35 bucks made by H2O. I like them but seem to missing some thrust when kicking into waves. Anyone have some suggestions on what to try? I have wide feet and like a soft foot pocket. Tried DaFins and Vipers and didn't really like them much.

Re: Paipo Gathering - Early-Oct 2017?
ok I'll see about getting a site in a day or two and see how much interest there is. I usually make a trip up that around that time so it's all good with me.

Re: Paipo Gathering - Early-Oct 2017?
Ok those dates have a better selection, wasn't sure what dates you were looking at. Should we just get two sites? I'm in the middle of changing banks right now so might take a day or two get money to reserve.
Yeah I saw that I was looking at the weekend earlier that had the handicapped sites

Re: Paipo Gathering - Early-Oct 2017?
I saw the El Cap spots but they are handicapped ones. Not sure if we could reserve them. I'll call tomorrow and find out if we can use those spots.

Re: Paipo Gathering - Early-Oct 2017?
If we were to do Hobsons or Faria which is the next campground further south and a bigger campground in October both are first come first serve. After October you can reserve spots at Hobsons. Two cars per site with WiFi and it's $36 in season $30 off season. Hobsons is a bit tight though but is pre...

Their website says they're open. http://www.oceanmesa.com/ I'm down for it, was planning on doing something up that way around that time.

Re: Can't help myself
That looks like a good shape. My rockers will be 3" N and 1.25" T, not sure about 12" measurements just yet. May put the wide point back from center 2" or so for better support when I knee ride it.

Can't help myself
So I ordered another blank today, going with 5'10 RP Blue density stringerless poly blank. It will be a hybrid of a kneeboard and paipo, planning on splitting the difference from what all my other boards have been. Dims will be 5' 22" 2.75" out at the rails and 2.25-2" in the center o...

Re: Latest project
It is finless and most likely will remain that way. I think with the way the bottom is in the tail it may be hard to set the fin boxes. Could try glassing some on but for now will keep it finless. Was out today and on a couple waves I focused on keeping the highline on the wave face. I had thought t...

Re: New Mega Platter
Looks real good James. You could also try the controller fins since they are a split keel fin from futures. To me maybe the fins look close but maybe by a 1/2".
