Re: I have a problem
I have a 7" 4a to start but I think it may be too small, won't know until I try it though. Here are some pics of the tail, was hoping to put a hot coat down tonight but my deck lam didn't kick on one side of the rail. It was the side I had to mix more resin to finish the lam. Hopefully it will ...

Re: I have a problem
Well I was thinking of having hard rails to have water release off the the bottom. But having then like that would make it hard to turn so I softened them up so I can turn the board. Hopefully these pics are good.

Re: I have a problem
So I softened the rails a bit and glassed the bottom tonight. Thanks to soulglider for the pointers on softening the rails. Going with 4oz bottom and will go 6x4 deck, doing the deck lam tomorrow and hopefully bottom hot coat Sunday.

Re: SDF no4 (US blanks green Pu 5.10RP)
I was looking to make a greenough inspired spoon and they have a blank that would fit what I was trying to do. There is a distributor of theirs here in SD but I 've moved on from that. But never say never though.

Re: SDF no4 (US blanks green Pu 5.10RP)
That looks really clean krusher. Would you look at glassing it in epoxy to help in durability and even s cloth? May be worth it if you put it through that much. That's not to bad of a wait, I don't think I could wait that long. I was looking into getting a blank from Surfblanks Australia sent an ema...

Re: I have a problem
The tail isn't much different than the last one unless your referring to the other 4'2. This one has a more traditional foil to it. As far as the concave deck goes I have gone deeper on each one. This on accident but it will fit the pad better and I think I'll feel even more connected to the board. ...

Re: SDF no4 (US blanks green Pu 5.10RP)
That's looking good. What dims are you going with? How long did it take to get the blank, was thinking of doing one in that density. But I want to see how mine holds up.

I have a problem
Here's my latest one 4'2" 21.5" 2" in center 2.5" out to the rails. Belly to flat to double concave to vee and it's going to be a single fin. I used a 5'10RP stringerless blue density from us blanks. Hard edge except for up in the nose, nose is 17" tail is 19" and will ...

Re: Mega Platter 2.0...asymmetrical...?
Makes sense to me if your surfing one direction all the time seems it'll work. The place where I shape out of had Donald Brink there to do an interview. He does mostly asysmetrical boards may be worth watching his interview. Google shred talks and give a look.

Re: Paipo Gathering - Fall 2015?
I asked about it at Emma Wood and you have to be self contained for a RV spot. Well I'm going to check today about getting Monday and Tuesday off. Then figure the rest out but depending on how many people and how many sites we get.

Re: Paipo Gathering - Fall 2015?
I just checked their site and it only shows RV spots left. I could split with someone a tent site but I need to see if I can get the days off. The other guy in the department has asked for the 2 weeks off prior. Only question I have is I live in my van so I wouldn't be taking a tent spot. So is ther...

Re: My Latest
Thomas it is a blue density 7'3"A from US Blanks. I took a lot of foam out of it from the top more then I wanted. This was supposed to be a kneeboard, trying to go for a Greenough spoon inspired but leaving foam in it because well San Diego doesn't have the wave machine that is a certain righth...
