Re: Can't help myself
It's a cove pad, I really like not having to keep waxing the whole board and you can adjust your position and be locked in. Bob thats the problem I'm finding I can't figure out how to thin out the rail without going into where I want to have the deck scooped out.

Re: Can't help myself
2.75 out at the rails 2.5 in the center just guessing. I don't have calipers but I need to get these rails thinner. Have had it out for 3 sessions and it's pretty fast but I'm have trouble sinking the rail. Only been going prone.

Re: Can't help myself
Here it is all finished up. A lot more foam than I'm used to from what I've been riding the past couple years. Pretty happy the way it came out just need to work on my foiling and getting my rails thinner.

Re: Selling boards
Well what a difference a week makes. Sold both boards today and the single fin hull I did sold at another shop a couple days ago. Didn't sell them what I wanted them for but I was able to cover my glassing on the one that's being glassed. The guy that bought the green resin swirl said to me he was s...

Re: Selling boards
I price my boards to at least cover the glassing since that my biggest expense. But you are finding someone is tough, I haven't done clist in a while because it's to much of a hassle.

Re: Selling boards
James I would need a bigger van if I added any more boards. I'm planning a remodel this summer and need to get down to two boards. Planning on putting in a "kitchen" and adding solar. Dave I'll be in SD this winter maybe out to AZ to find a job for the summer. This is all in theory though....

Re: Selling boards
I would like to move up North but I'm sticking it out for the rest of the year. I have some things in the works and with hopefully be not working for a few months beginning next year. Hopefully I can get a job in the Sierras and be able to make trips to the Bay Area. There's another swap this weeken...

Selling boards
I'm not sure how many on here have tried to sell boards outside of this forum but it is a challenge. I was at a board swap yesterday and every comment was oh those look fun for goofing around or the kids didn't have any money. One guy wanted to trade one of the boards for a shortboard. I told him he...

I'm confused. Maybe send them a paipo and they can send some cocktails.

Re: Can't help myself
Looked at the t belly I had and it was close to 23 wide in the tail. Forgot to mention the fins are set at 9" up and 1.75" off the rail with 1/8th toe

Re: Can't help myself
I think I never put finished pictures up of my boards just roughed out ones. Thanks James and Steven with this being somewhat of a mashup off a kneeboard/paipo I kept it more of a knneboard as far as outline goes. Nose and tail widths are 18" at 12" back, maybe Nomas can confirm his tails ...

Re: Board bags
Call Zap the other day and will be ordering from them. Getting a coffin bag that is 24" wide and it's 4" deep should be good for the boards I have.

Re: Board bags
I may go with a Zap bag. I have two of their day bags and I think I should be fine with a coffin. I'm going call and see how wide they are compared to the day bags might be the same though. My new board is 22" wide snd there wasn't much room on the sides. Thanks for the link to the airwave folk...

Re: Board bags
They got back to me this morning with a 2.5 week lead time and would cost about $150 plus shipping. I'm just looking for a day bag really but the catch is I would need to have a fin slot being my latest board is a single fin. I'm most likely going to get D surf bag and see if I can get a fin slot pu...

Re: Can't help myself
Well I think some of my frustration is that I've had this obsession with doing a flex spoon/greenough inspired board for a long time. I was really hoping to get it done on this one, maybe I put to much pressure on myself with it. Nomas you are correct with if shaping was easy everyone would do it. T...

Re: Board bags
Just sent them an email, will see how long it takes for them to get back to me. Another option is DSurf here in SD county they make recycled bags from all their off cuts I believe. The have a mini simmons bag that I had before that I think will work well. Would need to pad the board up but the bag h...
