Re: My Latest

Well time will tell. I plan on keeping this for awhile and really trying to not build a board for 6 months. I've had most of my boards glassed 4oz bottom and they held up pretty good. If this one doesn't show much wear and tear after a few months I'll be happy. But more than likely on the next one I...

Re: My Latest

So the glassing is coming along nicely. Here is the glassing schedule 4oz bottom with 6oz x 4oz deck. The 4oz on the deck covers the full length of the board and the 6oz stops just in front of the fins. Did this on the deck to feel the flex hopefully. Also put extra cloth over the fin boxes for stre...

Re: My Latest

Thanks krusher, I did use a mini simmons template for the tail and a hull templete for the nose. I'm liking the rounded noses on my boards. As far as the bottom design goes Ryan Lovelace does this on his boards. It's funny how when you start doing something you don't notice it on other boards until ...

Re: How long?

Flojo I'm in the process now of doing another board. It was supposed to be a kneeboard but I over shaped it. I did have a 4'11 at one point and I really like how it reduced the drag from my legs. Not sure why I sold it. Well I know why, it was to fund another board. Anyway this will be the same size...

Re: 4'2 Bellyboard

I haven't noticed any issues with chaffing on my wetsuit. I only use a leash if its crowded or closing out a lot. Plus since I've gotten the board I haven't worn a wetsuit much its been so warm.

Re: 4'2 Bellyboard

Little update. Have been riding the board with the Blair fronts for all my sessions. At some points I felt they were holding me up on getting back up the face of the wave and other times they felt fine. Was looking at the Futures site and was reading about the blacksticks fins, I was thinking about ...
