Re: 8ft waves with wind paipo?

Forget trying to fly I have the knowledge to do hydrofoil for the paipo. the free program xflr5 is very good for that, but it's not my intention. the idea is to design a paipo that minimizes the jumps in choppy waves there are few weeks of big waves in the Cantabrian Sea, but it is something that I...

Re: 8ft waves with wind paipo?

I have made a few hydrofoils for surfboards, the latest models work well but I have no talent to be able to bole on the board, my friends do. of what I have learned designing I have an idea that can be interesting but in my experience it is very dangerous, I have had quite strong blows and modarudas...

8ft waves with wind paipo?

I've been talking to a friend, I've told him that I'm going to leave surfing to start enjoying the paipo. he has not done much grace, there is a lot of classism and fights within bodyboard water vs surf, with punching and continuous fights, it is usually war. I do not care to. I want to enjoy On the...

When you see your keel system, it reminded me of the typical windsurfing mounts in the quad system. small fins front and big back. there is a lot of information about this on the internet, it gives fresh air and many ideas to study other modalities That paipo has a design that excites me. congratula...

Re: my first paipo 44

Asier, Do you know anyone you could store your board for you at the beach. I've had contact with some Basque surfers who might be able to assist? Bob the beach of the zurriola there are places to leave tables with shower ,,, this very well but cost 320e a year, a lot of money for the few days that ...

Re: Top vs Bottom Layers of Composite

your observations are correct, the top sheet tends to shrink. the lower one to stretch. but our body gives many hits to the board, the board above needs to hold more stress because of impacts, than the buckling effort I am in the process of making my first paipo, but I have made many surfboards, not...

Re: my first paipo 44

I studied this to make my surfboards, it's a quick, not scientific, I'm not an engineer but the result in surfing has been good size fins regarding its separation from the center. if we take for good a central single keel of 8 in another side table in traditional position, close to the rail are 4 of...

Re: my first paipo 44

Where do you do most of your surfing? in san sebastian, zurriola beach. beach breaker Aquitaine is 40 minutes away by car I sometimes go but not much, lack of time I like the 2 + 1 system, but to test the parallel central finals system, let us use 2 + 1. It gives me much better result. that's why I ...

Re: my first paipo 44

Volume is a very loaded question. You are using EPS foam which is very floaty. The board is around 44 inches and 21-1/2 inches . You are about 5'10" and weigh around 160 lbs. You could easily stretch the board out another 4 inches to 48 inches, or 4 ft even, and still be comfortable kick paddl...

There is so much information in the forum that I'm finding it hard to find this link that has helped me a lot, I still have too much influence from the surfboards I see that the keels used are around 5 inches, which would be the size Mark Richard twin and the like. and maybe it will be interesting i...

Re: my first paipo 44

I know that system of fins, in fact before doing my surfboards, I did some basic studies of hydrodynamics, I am not an engineer but I am doing courses and learning in a self-taught way It is not the same case, but the biplane planes also give good ideas about the design. the first idea that is clear...
