Any Day ClickIt Fundraiser Help

Please help sustain the MyPaipoBoards.org website throughout the year by clicking on the Google advertisement banner adverts appearing at the bottom of most of the paipo web pages (there are not any advert banners on the forums pages). It helps if you click through an advertisement with a couple of clicks. Doing this sends some advertising dollars my way and defrays the cost of the hosting service providers used to run the forums and the web pages.

Mahalo!

What does Apple have against me $*$&$^%$, damn iThings!! Can't believe it! It is a javascript run Google advert, not even Flash!

This is a small page -- you would see the advert between the list of acknowledgments and the header/footer links for the site.

Guess I will have to add a PayPal button someday ;)

Thanks for looking!

They don't appear if you have AdBlock installed unless you disable AdBlock for the page. The ads don't stand out that much....look near the very bottom, "AdChoices" or something should appear to the right.

That is correct about not standing out -- try to not have the paipo pages overcome by adverts, but just be there if you get to the bottom.

Many thanks to everyone for your "clicks!" Keep clicking away when you remember or come across something remotely interesting. Mahalo!

Ok, for the dummies. How to disable adblock just for this page?

Click on the ABP icon then select "disable on mypaipoboards.org"

You should be able to turn adblock off with the click of a button and then refresh the page. There are not any Google adverts on the forums -- they are on the web pages and usually out of the way at the bottom of the page.

Thanks!

Rod,

Ok, which button? Remember you're dealing with a dummy. I did a search on Firefox and it wasn't enlightening.

FF9 will have the icon in the far lower left of the browser. For other versions it should be to the right of the address bar, it might even be to the right of the search bar if you have it enabled.

Rick,

I did a bit of searching. Seems like the symbol might be a stop sign. I don't have one of these anywhere I can see (top or bottom). Is it possible that you can zap ads with some other program or through some other means?

Are sure you have it installed? The ads are hard to see. Just send Rod some cash. :)

I may not have it installed, that's why I asked whether there was some other way ads could be hidden. While I should wear glasses more often, it would need to be an extremely small ad for me to miss it.

Bob, the adverts are at the bottom of the web pages -- none are on the forums. You will see them at the very bottom of the interview pages, for example, and right above the navigation bar located at the bottom of the web page.

Rod,

Thanks. A Cool hand Luke moment. I can see them at the bottom of the interviews. This one got me intrigued:

Serious Fun Riversurfing
Activities & Tours in Queenstown

Bodyboard down the Mighty Kawarau River with the inventors and pioneers of riversurfing, 'blowing minds since 89'. Learn how to run rapids, surf waves, ride whirlpools, squirt and lots more...

My wife wanted to go to Queenstown. A paipo down the mighty Kawarau?

I would take a "boogie board" on that river run -- not as prone to getting dinged!
