New Covepad Deck Material

Here are couple shots of the new material that Covepads uses now. It is about 5/16". It isn't quite as grippy as the old pad material. But it looks a little better and I think it will last longer. I still don't see why everyone doesn't these pads. They are great! So much more comfortable. NO WAX! I'll never build board without it. It adds a little float/volume. So if you want a 2 inch thick board, you have to shape to it thinner--- say about 1 3/4" etc depending how long a pad you want. I make mine just past where my elbows lie on the board. It is also great, if you have a board that doesn't have enough float, it will add more float. Casey Patelski covepads.com

Hi Casey
made it back to Italy after the Kneeboard US finals and I bought a Paps from Thomas Patrick called the Manta- you can see pictures of it on his web site
I will be in Houston Tx on a business trip first week in May-- can we get one pad manufactured for this board in time??
How do I take measurements on a Paipo for you to shape me a cove pad??
Also could you sell me a piece of that new experimental grip that I could place on my kneeboard instead of the wax
Please inform me --
Your best foreign returning client
Dave

Hi Thomas thanks for that kneeboard -- it really is a performer with that deep V -- good job
Had a lot of fun riding it in the Pacific
I am still waiting now for the Med to kick up a bit and see what it does on these mushy small waves
I was thinking of buying a NON slip pad for the Paipo I bought from you before departing the US
See you soon here in the "old country"
