Re: Longboard Wavejet paipo/prone
I just thought it was interesting to see someone ride prone on a long board.

I think the surfer wearing the helmet is the same paralyzed young man that was featured in Step Into Liquid.
If you think about it, that seems like a reasonable use for the Wave Jet technology. Every other use would get a severe frowning from me--and probably most of you too.

Re: Longboard Wavejet paipo/prone
Jesse Billauer was a promising pro surfer before he hit his head surfing on a shallow sand bar and broke his neck!
He used to need a team of about 5 friend to surf, new with the wave jet he just need one buddy to carry him to the water!!!
I have surfed some places where the rip is so bad its impossible to paddle back to the takeoff spot, and the power of this could make those places surf-able.
He obviously cant drag his legs off the back of a board , but when seeing Jesse surf I have often though he could be a on a better shaped more paipo board rather than that longboard. I feel he is missing out in a small way.
I have tried proning my friends 6.0 short board and that was horrible and unturnable.
