Surfed a couple of times with Josh Klein of Xylem Surfboards during the past weekend, Sat & Sun, in FL. Saturday afternoon was really fun down on the Satellite Beach reefs, 3 to 4 foot range but some nice throwing waves. I was riding my baseline Austin, Orange Matter, and Josh was riding a short 32 inch Xylem. The next day was junkier up at the Canaveral Pier area. He borrowed his 48 inch Malama Kai from the museum exhibit for the morning surf session with some of the other paipo people in the area including one guy with an experimental paipo hydrofoil (wide double winged mounted on a boogie board for now - foils are fiberglass and carbon fiber). Josh and I traded off boards for the last hour and each had fun on each other's boards.

Below are a couple of pics from the exhibit. I plan to take some close-ups in a day or two. You can see more on Facebook:

Thanks for your post rodndtube.
Would be great to see some of the origins of wave riding boards.

nice to see many side by side, easy to compare and contrast the wide range of shapes and sizes. :D
