Hey Pes....surfing looks to be a bit of a crap shoot conditon wise and given Holiday obligations. Spudnut and I are talking a possible LR outing tomorrow around 11AM if conditions and schedules warrant. Remind me your phone#.

If you get near Ventura, go into Wavefront Surf Shop and look at the new paipo boards being made.

Wave Front making paipos to sell? I ask because I don't find paipos on their website.
Where do you usually surf 805?

Think he's talking about the ones Clyde Beatty Jr is making. There was a post on here about them somewhere. Was a good little trip, wish the waves and tide were better for the spots surfed. Will be passing through the area again first week of Feb.

Seems like we missed some fire and smoke around Christmas!

Wavefront had fiberglass boards, but now have a new style. They are hand shaped epoxy core soft top boards. They have a center box and Future side bites. Here is their link to the website.

Step away from the Koolaid...made in China (according to Wavefront Mgr), so most likely machine-cut, hand-assembled. Haven't we had this discussion?
But, performance is what counts, right? You should buy one and tell us how well it works.

I was camping at Hobson's which is just south of rincon. I woke up around 2-3am, went to the bathroom and as I was walking towards the bathroom I thought I saw a glow up in the hills. I was half asleep and it was cold so I didn't pay much attention. Woke up to the news that everything was shut down, wish I stuck around could have got Rincon all to myself.

I don't think you would have had Rincon all to yourself even if IT was on fire... ;)

Although come to think of it Rod and I got it to ourselves one rainy Saturday morning a few years ago...of near flatness...

Clyde Beatty Paipo boards are made in China with American products. I will start a post about them after the New Years.

The police stopped everyone on the Ventura side from entering any of the beaches. My friend tried to walk in on the tracks and was stopped by the Sheriff.

Rincon was flat, you missed nothing.
