Thanks Grumpy
I appreciate it, I know how to post picture's a number of way's
It's the resizing on this forum that's a problem,
The picture's I have resized down are 1.49 MB, the maximum of 512 is way to small, and resizing everything is rough
my normal photo's out of the camera are 3062 bytes
I haven't found a resizing site to make it real easy, If you or anybody know's of one ,let me know.
Thanks
Joe

Don't know what type of 'puter you are using but most have a simple program for photo resizing.
Microsoft Office Picture Manager is what I use.

The forum software resizes the photo for displaying within the forum posting. The user can click on the image to view the full size. In general it is best not to post super huge images within forum posts because the large image size can distort the entire display of the forum postings and causes load times to increase.

Two easy to use and free programs are IrfanView and XNView. There are others but these two I have been using for a long while and they do the job and are regularly updated/supported.

IrfanView is my go-to program for resizing images -- it also includes a group resizing function in the main menu (File | Batch Conversion/Rename). You will be quickly up to speed. XNView also has its strengths -- my favorite is its "browser display" (their term for browsing all the images in a folder/directory).

You can find links to these programs at: http://rodndtube.com/MyWebTools.shtml#Internet_Tools

Here is a photo of Larry Goddard and three of his boards. The actual file size is 3648x2736.
