4'5x20x1 Stringerless hull. Concaved deck.

How wide are the tail and nose (12" back from each tip)? Tail looks to be thin -- what are the thinnest and thickest parts (in inches)? How is it riding on your reefs?

18.5 nose and tail. Tail is one inch as is the rest of the board down the center. The rails are full thickness hull rails foiled to a sharp edge from nose to tail.

board has been tested in 3-4' clean ass barrels. super fast, turny and feels like its all paipo, because it is all paipo! paipo, paipo, paipo!

Looking good! Would love to test that one, too bad we live on opposite sides of the world.

Did you round off the very thin edge of the rails or square them sort of alaia like w/ and edge top and bottom?

Thanks SG, reminds me of an extreme looking Andreini I saw at Mollusk in San Francisco.

From what I know, the deepest part of the hull is sort of the sweet spot for driving those long long accelerating turns. Do you shift it back to move the sweet spot more under your hips? Or leave it more forward of center like on a stand-up board? Hard to tell from the photos where you put the wide point...

Same as the standup. These are so short no shifting is required. The andrieni reference is dead on.

a lot more positive. doesnt flippy-floppy near as much as with the single fins. not better, just different. it does "seem" faster. this board is 7" shorter than my go to single fin and i was getting to the same places (and more) on the wave. i actually fought my buds trying to get me to try the quad set-up on the hull bottom. i was "absolutely sure" that it was going to ruin the feeling the hull gives. glad i did, it was so serendipitous!

Very cool about the quad being such a success! Do you use pretty much "standard" quad alignments and spacing? Or Soulglider "secret sauce"?

standard setup, standard fins, but with 1" lopped off the bottom of each fin.

LIkely holding power boost from gentle flipper touch here and there plus the rails/bottom have so much more grip on wave face than a more "normal" wave riding vehicle...

"The rails are full thickness hull rails foiled to a sharp edge from nose to tail." - is the rail shape constant from nose to tail as in the above diagram? The top photo, looks like the rail line may be different in the tail area, but that may just be my eyesight. If you have the time I''d be interested to see a shot of the planshape (e.g board stood up by a wall).

Hi, I am building a stringerless EPS board. Mine will be a little thicker. I was wondering how your board has held up. Any buckling? Also what was the glassing schedule? What were the weights of the glass and how many layers etc?

no. simmons are planing hulls.

When you say standard quad placement what is that? 10.5" from tail to rear of front fins? Got a 5'5" liddle burrito and thinking of putting in fcs quad boxes. Thinking bumping quad fronts to 14.5" for fronts. Rears not sure yet. Figure moving quads up like Ozzie kneeboards will loosen it up at the rear.

Any advice appreciated.
