yes I was there in their first development of the product in Dana point and have a "true prototype" they sold me JUST to add to my collection
A year later following knee surgery bought a final version of the board for rehabilitation following major knee surgery (meniscus, side ligaments and back ligaments)

Took the board to Hawaii for a month
Surfed the wall mostly, Waikiki Beach in small winter waves-- "whale farts"

My experience was limited as my knee was really fresh from surgery so limited in its extension and kick power
but because of the stiffness (it has carbon finer stiffening rods inside) of the board I was catching waves on a regular basis
For my weight and age might thoughts was not enough buoyancy for the conditions I was trying it in ---my weight 195 lbs at 6'3" hight 56 yrs old
I mounted mini "FCS bites" for directional stability and hold in wave
Thought the board could have some potential in larger waves but cause of my surgery I could absolutely NOT try it at sandy Beach

If I get a chance I will get the thing out of my closet and try It again in larger waves and give y'all some more feedback

I'd be poorer if I bought one. I was curious what Tom Morey was up to.

Bob, having bought one, I'm poorer for the expense and the experience. It seems the materials were the main prompt to create a hybrid board that could I be ridden in the U.S. where hard surfboards were banned but as a prone craft it's a bit of a FAIL.
The outline isn't something that lends itself to prone riding as the tail is significantly slimmer than the nose, so unless youre riding meaty waves it doesn't perform. The wider nose planes but without power the tail bogs.
However it has plenty of bouyancy so when I've ridden it as a standup surfboard it catches waves easily.
It's an interesting design, but it's neither The One or The other, but more of a compromise. Of course any pro rider can make it look spectacular but for us mere mortals, it's not better than a purpose built prone board.

Not a lot of rocker.

The rails are quite low and feel good in the front but at the back he's gone for an angular bodyboard rail and it has no hold at all, especially when you put the board on its rail. You can surf it standing up but have to do 'flat' turns because it spins out.i just checked out the marketing video on the site and it's full of kick- flips and tricks but no real turns.
It's a good paddler so getting into waves is easy.

The fin thing is called a Shredda, also Advanced Steering System or ASS if you're into acronyms.
A very interesting concept of having multiple small fins connected in a V formation. It too is overall a bit disappointing that there are 7 fins but not enough hold when on the rail. I don't think they're still on the market. It's definately worth riding because it does have some amazing moments.

This looks like you should cut the side fins off and screw a foil onto that v rail, that to me is the correct gape between board and foil.To lessen inertia coupling,
it looks like something was screwed onto that rail ?.That to me looks like a very interesting project.It looks like a foil attached in the correct places could make a strong framework ?

The blurb on a site selling them states: " the ONE! fuses two types of riding: finless surfing and skimboarding; creating a surf-style more in-line with skateboarding".

The design may have changed a bit.
