The pictures don’t show the contours very well, but the bottom contour came out well, may be the next board will be wingless

Looks slick I like the way this foam holds the pressed in curves, it is still a bit flimsy. I plan to place a backbone ridge plate on the deck like the cork boards

Making a wingless board of the same design as the winged one might make for interesting comparisons.

what kind of glass can you use on this type of foam, epoxy or poly?

You can use both but I will stick with epoxy. I have only ridden winged boards for the last 15 years what will happen if I find wingless is better my brain will explode?! You can get lost going down thies obscure pathways ? But its FUN

Exceeded the commonsense rule by a long way on this one, its much cleaner without the rear centre strut. The weight so far is 2kg. Will it twist apart?

Body surfing, knee boarding, and body boarding. I loved body boarding the most, but I did a silly thing I asked why body boards have not changed in years? and tried to answer that question ever since

The glassing is finished, the strut s have finished well, and the idea on this one is to clean up the water flow between the split decks. The final sanding has revelled some pleasing lines

Very nice work man! personally i like them without the paint, but then again thats just my opinion.

the main board shape is very inspiring to me. if its ok with you i want to try and copy it as close as i can from pix. again, nice job.

Thanks Tim this one will be plain white with a red foam deck to use up left over’s. Did you pick up that all the contours, were prest out of laminated flat 9mm foam sheets, so there is very little foam lost setting the rocker, it holds dome and flat radii well.

I hate this stage off the process, all those small defects start showing, and design remorse sets in .Is it strong enough, will I look a complete chop when I ride it .

You shouldn't have to worry about drop ins. It would be fascinating to see how these boards surf.

I can’t wait to get it in the water. I still have to clear coat and make a leash plug

Very interesting stuff you got going there. I say next gathering in you neck of the woods, would love to try one.

The board is finished, with ss leash plug or may be call it a bollard but it’s strong. I found working with white difficult it is easy to miss flaws in the reflective light. The horizontal fin plate has a bit more surface area than the black board, but the deck is substantially smaller with very little volume. I suppose this is my first hollow board, test ride on Saturday!!.I would really like to get together with other Paipo board builders ,the only other prone boards I get to ride hear are body boards and they fell like riding a wet carpet
