So it's an improvement on #1?
Are the rails essentially square like a boogie board?

Its no better or worse that no1, so got my magic board back !!
The bottom chine is flat/square the edges are rounded over. only hard edge I have is across the tail.
Next evolution will be to try a different tail shape (more of a corner peg that a point) and either a single or double concave/channels on either side of the board (between bot1 and rail) outside the main single concave, to try to get so more traction/pivot on top turns. I guess kinda hooking the underside of the rail like on your latest board.
The tail is left square on the cnc cut so I can hand shape any tail I like.

I like the idea of adding a single channel out there. You might want to consider raising the rail point maybe half-way while you're at it to add a little more rocker out at the rail. Will the channel start at the next slice up or at the middle slice?

I like the rail rocker idea
I think i would try a channel/s stretching about 12 to 15" up from the tail. (open at the tail.)
I rode a friends board in california and he had shape a tail with about 4" corner pegs and a crescent cut out between, I found it easier to do a hard top turn pivoting on that peg.
