The Hypr models, not to be confused with the Hypo models, are based on or off of Gus Acosta's board designs. Well, the fiberglass looking ones vice the wood looking ones. He was trying to, or did obtain, some patents for building and selling his design board, the Wave Arrow. There is some more here from several years ago:

The shop is only about 5 miles from Magic Sands A location steeped in prone riding history.

I only started this thread about the new HAIPO model. What patent do you think he has on that?

Not sure about the Haipo. All I know is that Gus was having issues with production builders.
