Rod Rodgers
An early transitional kneeboard, this board was also actually marketed as a "Knee Machine," and in the case of Frank Cavins board, for lighter kneeboarding bodies. But this board is clearly more effective for prone riders than kneelos. Within a couple of years the El Paipo Knee Machines had increased in length and size, e.g., 48 and 54 inches long. The board in the figure was also marketed as the "Planing Machine" and suitable for prone and knee riding (Surfer Magazine, 1968-Aug/Sep, v09n04, p008).
Figure source: Surfing Action, 1968-Nov/Dec, v01n05, p082.

Yes, I was going to have G&S make me a new belly board until I found this one! Some guy had this board made quite a few years ago, but he never used it!

Collect and ride. I got my first belly board around 1970 and I still have a passion for them.
