new red wood board

I have not made a new board in 6 month I was in home depot and look at some nice redwood (8ft x 3.5 x 1/2 in ) just had too buy it here is what came out 40" long 20" wide 1/2" thick with hoop fin.

Nice looking board mrmike. Is that a piece of the nose turned up to add some nose rocker much like a nose block?

it is a nose block cut off the blank before I shaped it

Good to see you can't help yourself again. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these beauties.

After the week-end I plan to post some photos of my new board - a similar planshape, but more stretched out.

can't tell yet surf to small to tell. I have made boards with hoop fins before work good if you get some speed going. I don't keep them long people like them just something different I guess
