Glass an old bodyboard

#1

Unread post by zensuni »

Hi there,
Do you think it is possible to glass an old (yet clean) bodyboard ?
That would be a fun indoor activity for these no wave days we are experiencing sometimes.
I guess it is possible, but I am not sure the epoxy would stick to the bodyboard "external skin" (sorry, I don't know the exact word).

Hi, I don't know, if it would stick or not. Also Polyurethane resin will dissolve EPS foam. It also might dissolve the the outer foam. It might be easier to go your local home improvement store (Home Depot etc.) and buy some XPS or EPS, I know a guy who made boards out the plain old pink XPS foam sold at all home improvement stores. They out pretty good. But you need to use epoxy. You can get it at Tap plastic.
