Futures fin screw
I picked up an old Bomb Bellyboard that needs some work. I took out the Futures fins, taped off the box to do some cleanup, took the tape off and now one of the fin screws won't go in very far. I cleaned the hole and blew air through it but to no avail yet. Anybody have any experience with this issue?
Cheers

Re: Futures fin screw
The oils of Peppermint & Wintergreen are both very good penetrants. I'd slather some down in the threads and let it sit over night and try it again. Making sure its free of salt first. If that doesn't work you can take a steel screw of that size(IIRC that's a 10/32, pretty common) and file a groove along the length so it acts like a thread cleaner, or of course, get a tap . The screws that hold most switch plates are that size, use a long one of them to make your thread cutter.

Hey Nels, when you get a chance, I’d like to see a photo of the board…

I'll give it all a whack and see what works. Or go finless. But I want to run this with fins. Sigh.
Now lets see if I can figure out posting photos. It's been a while. Flojo didn't you say you had one of these once? I got this from a guy in Santa Paula.
