This one is made with 1/4” Divinycell foam. I thermoform it in a mold and then set it in the mold as I cover it in Carbon Fiber and vacuum bag it. After that, I laminate wood veneer to it.

It’s not so much what the board can handle as opposed to what my old ass can handle. 😂😂😂. I like surfing anything from 1’ (Hawaiian) to 4’ (Hawaiian). It’ll catch smaller waves. The foam makes it more buoyant than most boards and easier to catch and ride smaller waves. This board only weights #7, 6oz.

She has a double concave in the tail and a 1” rise in the nose.
She was inspired by Uncle Harry’s design, and she holds an edge really well. The shape of the tail is designed so she can be steered from the tail. The nose is the accelerator.

Wow, OG Mike Sikai Unko Harry’s surfing partner gave me similar shape but not as high mid to rear rails, but same tinted color. It was my very first BIG Paepo’o board that I used. Back in the 90’s Point PanicI was had epic size surf, so I would surf the lefts n creating my own maneuvers n found that big boards would zip faster…

How are you getting the curves? The blocks and vacuum.

A combination of that, thermoforming, the carbon fiber, and the form underneath.

The foam is 5/8” Divinycell with 2 layers of 6 oz. Carbon Fiber on the top and bottom, 2 layers of 6 oz. Carbon Fiber along the rails, and a Red Oak wood veneer laminated to the top side.
