I met Terry on a few occasions. He was a mad scientist and dedicated waverider.

Terry and I developed a good, long relationship over the years. He was primarily a kneeboarder--what a collection he had all built by himself--and a summertime boogie boarder, except for his experimental paipo foil. His experimental paipo foil process began in the late-1960s eventually leading to a formal patent. On one of his final iterations we went on a 3-day surf trip to fairly Deep Baja, 8 hrs south of San Diego.
