Hey guys im semi new to riding paipos and i have a grain paipo and just wanted any tips on how to get better at riding, mostly just trying to catch the waves. Here is the board i ride any tips and tricks i would apperciate it thank you!

Keith Usher
Get forward of the balance point of the board to catch more waves

Herman Peeters
I also have one, goes like a dream.
Thinking of building the hollow version this summer

Steve Meisinger
Spin and go!

Jim Kimo Racela
Beautiful board!
Practice makes perfect!
Go surf as many times as you can!

Rainer Stegemann
🌴Practice late take off’s🌴

Rod Rodgers
If you have experience riding foot boards or kneeboards, you can practice the tail dip and powered takeoff, using arms and swim fins to the extent needed. Being a heavy board, if solid wood, it might take more strokes to build up paddling speed just like a longboard.

Bob Green
Different waves require approaches. Nothing beats spending hours in the water. Look for a launching pad for takeoffs

Damian Coase
Good swim fins make a big difference to some.

Jarrett Liu
Shoulder takeoff is best… Peak breaks will best be underwater takeoff with a quick flex angle slightly hugging the wave shoulder. Barrel ride> to be continued
