Hey, just saw the pics and write up about this board and would love to try one out and/or buy one. Who might carry these in Southern California?
Thanks for any guidance.

Paipo surfer in repose,
Nose on the nose,
No grunting he-man pose.
See how fast he goes!
What is it he knows?

SJB,
Thanks. I was going from memory which can always go wrong. Jeff chamberlain's paipo interview refers to a Shane Sstoneman. John Mellor shaped one I think.

Re: Mega Platter
I had asked Skiff sometime back about the Mega Platter and he was good enough to provide me the following info on his shaper.
"The guy is Kirk McGinty of L-41 Surfboards.
Here’s his FB page-
https://www.facebook.com/L41surf"
I decided not to follow up....background as follows:
1. Skiff pointed out that one of the big pluses was....given the size of the Mega.....your legs and fins are well out of the warer thus reducing drag but....
2. His Mega has more volume/float than a typical nine foot surf board!!!!
Well....Skiff boats into surf spots so duck diving maybe a wee bit easier than for this land lubber....MAYBE. At any rate I decided to stay with something smaller so I don't empty my 69 year old gas tank just getting out to the line up.
I am taking a liberty here and probably not doing Skiff or the Mega justice....but that was my personal take away.
