So my friend Jem howe of jemski waveskis and surfboards http://www.jemski.co.uk/ contacted with me about a guy who had asked about a paipo. So we are doing a collaboration, i'm shaping and he's glassing.
I met up with Simon and we look a a couple of his bodyboards and have decided to take a template from the one he uses most in local surf. Simon wanted the board to look like a surfboard, so i guess its become a mini Lis fish.
I took outline curve from his prototype manta bodyboard, narrowed it 1", tool the from to a point and changed the tail to a swallow. Its 3'8"/21.5/2.5. 25L We interestingly got the volume by weight its 1.8KG per square meter, so after the finished bland came out at 450g (about 1lb!) that worked out to be a 1/4 of a meter square (100L) so 25L's (I think something is wrong in that math will try to correct it later )
This was my first shaping experience with EPS, its funny stuff but i got to grips with it
This board has the deepest swallow tail i have done at 3" and it looks awesome, will be doing this on my next personal board
