Nomas,

So have your thinking about a big wave paipo changed much?

Still thinking "de-tuned" is the way to go. No lifting concaves, no hard edges. I would also consider going to a displacement-hull bottom contour, and an outline with the W"P at center or an inch forward of center. Move max thickness up a tad to get the tail to sink a little bit more, expecially on take-off. Low apex rails, maybe 70/30 or 80/20 with no tuck or edge. I want water to wrap for hold and not release, and I want the rail to penetrate the wave-face when needed. Tailblock as wide as intended rider's hips. I'd try to incorporate deck concave for rider confort and support. Just some things I've been thinking about in the lineup while waiting for the next ankle-slapper...

Thanks Nomas. The wide point is an issue often not given enough thought.
