Does anyone venture down to Baja Mexico, or know surfguide/tours that do?

I'm interested in hearing informed response as well. Nobody I know goes to Baja any more, but that may have to do with distance. The general tourist info downplays or ignores the rampant crime along the border and Cabo. I occasionally come across accurate reports about very nasty situations happening at various places. I'm sure plenty still venture down. From what I've heard the past couple of years from people including some Mexican nationals who live near the border, blundering around blindly and uninformed is definitely not a good thing to do.

I love Mexico and have traveled extensively in Baja and the Pacific coast mainland.
Up until a few years ago,we used to spend a couple weeks in Baja every three or four months but now that meth and the "breaking bad" antics that come with it have become a part of the peninsula I no longer feel comfortable there.
And FWIW raw sewage flows into the sea in most of Baja Norte.

Thanks Uncle G. I think I'll see if I can squeeze a few days in, down southern Mexico.

Uncle G,

Thanks again.

Between Oaxaca and Guatemala was where I was thinking.

I'll check out the area you mentioned,

Bob
