| The Tubes Hydro Paipo was modified again over the weekend. This time the center portion of the tube was cut out. Two 1 foot tubes were added to the sides of the existing tubes in the back. The revised Hydro Paipo now has a three-pod setup. The front pod has a few inches of separation between the two tubes. The back set of tubes each have two tubes attached together. I have attached a thin sheet of wood to the bottom of each pod, shaved it down to make a smooth transition from the round tubes to a flat planing surface under each pod. I will get back to using the long tubes but on another project I am planning now. From what I can tell, the tubes do not appear to be adding any noticeable amount of drag. I know they should, but the Paipos have not seemed to have lost any speed. I hope to have the 3 Pod Tubes Paipo in the water this weekend. I will let you know how it goes. I will send a picture.
