There are no dimentions there, only dimensions. I need more sleep.ClanB wrote:Coming soon. You can click link to see the dimentions.

Re: In the works
ClanB, the figure above appears to show very square rails. The attached diagram presents a different view of the rails. Have you ridden a design similar to this? The forward nose area seems to have hard turned down rails which I have found tend to dig into the wave hampering maneuvering.

Re: In the works
The 3-D drawing is a little deceiving. If you look at the spec drawing, it shows a slice or cross-section of the shape taken from 12" down from the nose. Notice that there is a "tucked edge" that extends inward from the apex of the rail by 1/2". This tuck edge softens but doesn't disappear as it progresses from this point to the nose. There is also a slight convex or belly in bottom in the last 12" or so, that compliments this softer, tucked rail. End result is a fast bottom that is also forgiving in sharp directional changes across the trim line. -tp

Re: In the works
I have a hard time processing the 3-D drawing... at least the angle shown. Have to say that the spec drawings are very nice in presentation.
Remain curious how the front end of the board will handle in easily breaking an edge from the face of the wave for a hard cut back at speed or when making a bottom turn and rising to the top and then transitioning into another turn. My experience is needing to have a relatively soft rail in the forward 18 to 24 inches of the board. No doubt the board has down the line speed in mind
Look forward to learning more about the board in the near future!

Re: In the works
I will take some pics when Thomas is shaping and post them. I will get some shots of the rails , nose , tail etc.

Re: In the works
Very interesting looking SuperT twist. It was nice to have many of the dimensions posted -- what are the "conventional" dimensions for this board, including width at the wings and width at the tail (pod) plus the standard width at 12" from the tail. And yeah, the usual wide point, nose and length. Thanks!

Re: In the works
Dims are listed in the pdf at the bottom of the page of the first entry of this thread. Template for shape was generated from the same Aku file that generated this specification sheet pdf. Actual finished and glassed shape may vary 1/16" +/- (not significant) at any dimension point. Width at wings is 18-1/4", width at 3" up from tail is 15-1/4". I basically shape to the dims listed in the spec sheet, adding reference points such as distance from rail to imaginary line intersecting peak of rail thickness and width of concave exiting tail.
I allow for the thickness added by the glassing process, so that the final product is pretty close to the spec drawing. -tp
