South winds and NW swell favored some obscure breaks in North Kohala.
The left was clean, small and fun.

The surf was breaking really close to the rocks on the right - on the rocks, in fact.
It looks almost makeable with a high line. The post-wipeout scramble portion takes place in 3-6" of water with a 2 foot closeout (4' California ) bearing down. Both board and I escaped unscathed, but I did need to change my shorts.
